The Gabilan Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), was organized on October 10, 1986. Michele Hults was the chapter's first regent. The chapter's name was chosen because of our proximity to the Gabilan Mountains. Most members are from the Gilroy, Hollister, Morgan Hill, and San Juan Bautista area; however, some members are from other areas as well. Local residency is not a requirement for membership in any chapter.
